Water-repellent impregnating liquid, based on silicone resins and solvents, highly penetrating (MICRO TECHNOLOGY), which offers waterproofing and prevents the appearance of greens on the vertical surfaces. It protects plaster from disintegration and concrete from carbonization for at least 10 years. It is perfectly clear, does not turn yellow, does not form a surface film, due to its high penetration capability (Micro Technology) does not polish, does not stick when dried and withstands in an alkaline environment. The combination of waterproof and breathable ensures energy savings.

 The DUROSTICK D-18 replaces the primer and paint with plastic or acrylic paints on unpainted beachfront surfaces when plaster whiteness is satisfactory. The result allows the plaster to breathe fully, ensuring a healthy stay. It is essential for the protection of colored plaster on the interior and exterior surfaces.

 It is a fact that the presence of humidity in excess of 5% reduces the thermal insulation capacity of the building. Implementation of D-18 prevents unnecessary energy consumption for heating, thereby increasing the internal temperature, reducing heating costs and avoiding condensation.1. Surface preparation

Surfaces of concrete and marble should be clean, dry, free from loose spots and at least 15 days after their construction. Before applying the D-18, it is recommended to protect doors and windows, and to remove any stains from the material immediately with either white spirit or DUROSTICK THINNER 101.

• For new concrete surfaces, be sure to remove any formwork oils with a biodegradable BIO CLEAN oil cleaner (for industrial use). Next, coat 2 coats of 1 mm with DUROSTICKs RUST FREE POWDER corrosion inhibitor all parts of the naked reinforcement. Then repair with D-55 or DUROFIX by DUROSTICK.

• For new marble slab surfaces, scrub with cardboard No. 60.

• For stocking, apply STUCOFIX-P or POWDER COAT or DUROSTICK GRANULAR or a combination of them, depending on the surface imperfections and how smooth finish we want.

• Smoke and exhaust soils are cleaned with a biodegradable BIO CLEAN (for nicotine and tobacco) biodegradable DUROSTICK.

• Highly cracked marble slab surfaces are repaired with D-32 high-speed plaster, while the corresponding concrete surfaces with DUROSTICK mortar D-55 are repaired.

• For filling joints, use DUROSTICKs acrylic stucco or DUROFLEX-PU, depending on the dimensions of the joints.

 

2. Application

The D-18 is applied as it is, with a brush or roller or a garden sprayer, in 1 coat until saturated or in 2 coats. The second coat is applied while the first one is still wet.
