Acrylic, cementation, white glue of high requirements, suitable for bonding and grouting glass blocks. It has strong adhesion, high durability, "not running" and resists moisture and frost. Prevents the initial or future occurrence of capillary cracks on the surface and meets the requirements of DIN 18175 for building glass blocks. The DUROSTICK D-3 adhesive is easily applied to any type of glassblocks, both in internal and outdoors. If it is necessary to use iron armature, it must be fully coated with the mortar.
The addition of DUROSTICK D-20 acrylic emulsion to the mixing water, in a ratio of 1 part D-20 2 parts water, increases the elasticity of the adhesive, ensuring excellent behavior in the expansions and contractions and natural or Artificial vibrations.
It also reduces the porosity of the joint, resulting, after its completion, not to affix the mud rain to the outdoors.
1. Surface Preparation
Glass bricks are dry, free from powders, oils, etc.
2. Application
Pour the powder into clean water, at a ratio of 25 kg powder in 5.5-6 LT water (1, 2-1, 5 kg), and stir with a low-speed drill until a homogeneous mass without lumps is created. Allow the mixture to mature for 5-10 minutes and stir periodically, without adding extra water. The ready material is applied with trowel. The grouting follows with the leftovers of the material from the weld or, if contrast is required in colouring, with grout tiles DUROSTICK 5-20 mm available in 4 indelible shades.
