A cementitious, cementitious, sealant with excellent adhesion, fully seals the surfaces thanks to the polymer and water-repellent components it contains. DUROSTICKs D-1 is suitable for positive (external, preventive) and negative (internal, for repair) hydrostatic pressures. It is resistant to frost and is water vapor permeable.

It is ideal for external waterproofing of basements and walls prior to embankment. Protect the D-1 sealed and coated surface with a special plastic film (egg roll). D-1 is ideal even for retrofitting vertical or horizontal interior surfaces after the plaster has been removed at all moisture content. It is suitable for waterproofing of floors, water tanks, swimming pools, swimming pools, hammers, wells, tunnels, brick or concrete walls after applying the first coat plaster.

It is also recommended for sloping concrete roofs before they are lined with tiles, for north walls, and generally for any mineral surface exposed to partial or continuous moisture.

1. Surface preparation

Remove triplexes, polystyrene and sharp protrusions. Cut the hairpins to a depth of 2-3 cm, coat them with DUROSTICKs RUST FREE POWDER and seal the holes with DUROSTICKs D-55, DUROFIX or SUPER FAST. Next, clean the surfaces from loose spots, formwork oils and salts with a biodegradable BIO CLEAN oil cleaner (for industrial use).

2. Application

DUROSTICK D-1 is applied to thoroughly moistened surfaces, in 2-4 even 1 mm thick cross-over coatings, with a trowel or round lime brush as well as with a plastic paint roller or metal spatula.

Pour the material into pure water at a ratio of 25 kg D-1 to 6-6.5 lt of water. It is recommended to mix with a low speed drill, with the appropriate mortar mixer, until a homogeneous lump-free mass is created so that it stays on the brush or roll without dripping. The mixture is left to work for 60 minutes and each coat is applied while the previous one is still fresh (about 2 hours). If the layer remains above and dries, we re-wipe the surface.

The final surface of the material must be protected for 48 hours from high temperatures with frequent moisture, and frost with appropriate protective means.

COMMENTS

• If the substrates to be coated with DUROSTICK D-1 exhibit capillary cracks or if we wish to protect them from natural or artificial vibrations by excavators working on adjoining plots, adding D-20 acrylic emulsion to water DUROSTICK: D-20, 1: 1 - 2: 1, increases the materials elasticity, surface strength and adhesion.

• After hardening the product is harmless to health.
