VITEX - Acrylan Unco Eco / Acrylic Silicone Water Primer Translucent 15lt - 14003

Ecological, silicone, micronized acrylic water-based primer, specially designed for strong adhesion and penetration on weak surfaces, due to its extremely low granulometry (<0.05 μm). It is certified according to the criteria of the European Union Ecolabel Awarding Council. It is used for both exterior and interior surfaces. It has extremely low water absorption, waterproofs surfaces, has high breathability and excellent resistance to alkalis. It is an ideal substrate for any surface (plaster, concrete, cement mortar, marble mortar, plasterboard, lower quality paints, etc.) to be painted with water-soluble paints (plastics, acrylic, elastomers, cement paints, relief, etc.). It is user- and environmentally friendly because it does not contain ammonia or other hazardous substances such as aromatic hydrocarbons, free formaldehyde, heavy metals or alkylphenolethoxylates.
It is certified with Indoor Air Comfort GOLD, the most stringent global indoor emissions rating system.

PREPARATORY WORK

Surfaces must be clean, dry and smooth, free of dust, oil or any loose materials.
New plaster or cement surfaces should dry completely for at least 30 days before applying the paint.
For puttying holes and spatulating any cracks, Visto or Acrylic Putty is used. Scrub the surface well and make sure it is completely dry before priming.

APPLICATION

The product is thoroughly stirred before use. It is applied in one layer with a roller, brush or airless gun and diluted up to 50% with water. On less absorbent surfaces it can be diluted up to 100%, while on highly absorbent surfaces it can be used even without dilution. It should not be applied at temperatures below 5°C, greater than 35°C and/or relative humidity above 80%.
The product is dry to the touch in 45 minutes and repainted after 4-6 hours with water-soluble Vitex paints. These times vary depending on weather conditions (relative humidity and temperature). After applying the paint, seal the container tightly and store it at temperatures between 5oC and 35oC for future use.
The tools are cleaned immediately after use with water and, if necessary, with soap or detergent.
