METAL PRIMER is an anti-rust fast-drying varnish coating substrate suitable for metal surfaces. It is softly treated, has great adhesion and coverage and is easily rubbed. 

Type: Alkyd varnish substrate.

Specific gravity: 1.45-1.60 ± 0,02 gr/cm³ (ISO 2811, 25°C)

Viscosity: 5-6ps(Grey, Brown) and 7-9ps(White) (ROTOTHINNER DIN 51550, 25°C).

Method of application: : Brush, roller or gun.

Dilution: Application with brush or roller: up to 10% volume with DISSOLVING BRUSH.

Gun application: up to 30% v/v with SOLVENT GUN for METAL PRIMER White and 10% v/v for METAL PRIMER Grey/Brown.

Yield: 14-16m2 per liter on properly prepared surfaces.

Drying: To the touch in 1 hour and repainted after 8 hours. These times vary depending on weather conditions (humidity, temperature).

Shades: Available in white, gray and brown. 

SURFACE PREPARATION

Surfaces must be clean, dry and free from defective or poor consistency materials, rust, oil, dust and sanded with appropriate sandpaper. Treatment such as dry sanding, using flame to cut or weld painted surfaces will create dust and/or dangerous fumes. Liquid scrubbing should be used where possible. Work in a well-ventilated area. Use appropriate means to protect breathing. 

APPLICATION

For brush or roller application, add up to 10% DISSOLVING BRUSH. For gun application, add up to 30% SOLVENT GUN to the METAL PRIMER White and up to 10% to the METAL PRIMER Grey/Brown. Stir well and apply one or two hands METAL PRIMER.
