POLYVINE METALLIC PAINT 500ml PEARL 508871

Polyvines Metallic Shimmer contains iridescent pigments which, in combination with classic acrylic paints, create unique pearlescent metallic effects. By coloring Polyvines Metallic Shimmer with any acrylic paint you can create a wide range of rich deep pearl shades. Ideal for application to painted surfaces.   

It is also used directly without coloring, for a stylish effect that resembles a mother of pearl.

Areas of Application:

It is ideal for exterior and interior applications, for walls and plasterboard, frames and mirrors, interior furniture and ceramics. It can also be used in external metal structures (e.g. railings).

Drying time at 20oC: To the touch 15 min to 1 hour

Preparation: The surfaces you are going to paint must be clean, dry and you must have previously removed rust residues or greasy substances.

Already painted surface: Lightly rub before use to improve adhesion. Try first in a small area.  With a good quality brush, apply 2-3 layers depending on the intensity you want the effect to have.  

On porous surfaces: Dilute the first layer with 10% water.

Metal: Prime first with Polyvine Clear All Purpose Primer.

Notes: The reflection of light can highlight imperfections from brush marks. The ability to cover varies depending on the shade. It is important to  test it on a small area before application. High temperatures and direct sunlight affect the working time. Do not apply when it rains. 

To paint the Metallic Shimmer: Mix 50 grams of Universal acrylic pigment with 500 g. Metallic Shimmer. Make sure the product is thoroughly mixed. Try first in a small area. Apply 2-3 layers, as needed, with a good quality brush.
